Happy New Year to you all. Hope you all had a great Christmas.
Another year over for the club, which has flown by. 2023 was successful for the club and we had our best Christmas period ever, all thanks to you our members and guests for their support.
I personally would like to thank Tess and her team for the continued support and service they provide daily.
Throughout 2024, we will be focusing on club improvements and refurbishments for the benefit of you, our members. This commences with the club furniture. We have therefore organised two chairs produced in the two colours many people have preferred. These should be in the club over the next week for all to review before we make a final decision. All feedback welcome.
The new tables for the rear of the club should be with us by end of January. If anyone knows someone that would like our old tables, then let Harri know. We are happy to donate these to a worthy cause.
Most changes will be clearly visible whilst others are behind the scenes. The list is extensive but need completing for the future of the club. Please speak to any committee member if you require any further information.
January always begins with our suppliers notifying us of price increases across beverages and snacks and this year is no different as we have received notifications of price increases up to 10% on beverages effective from the 14th February 2024. These increases affect the whole industry, and we will notify you of the changes to the prices once we receive these from the breweries and the tills amended.
Our events team have organised great entertainment throughout 2024, all information is available on the website and posters inside the club. We also have monthly Bingo and quiz nights,
As mentioned at the November AGM, Gareth and Donna have stepped down from the Poppy appeal, so we are organising a working group for 2024. If any member wishes to volunteer to assist this year then please contact Harri at harri.kallas@rblhayes.co.uk with your contact details or just leave your information with the bar team.
We will then organise a get together.
Well, that’s a quick update for the start of 2024, we hope to see you all throughout the year and please always provide any feedback to the committee.
